Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Day
/On Tuesday, 11th of January it was #LessSurvivableCancersAwarenessDay.
While some cancers have seen remarkable progress in survivability, others are as deadly as they were 40 years ago.
Over 90,000 people will be diagnosed with either lung, liver, brain, stomach, pancreatic and
oesophageal cancer in the UK each year.
These six less survivable cancers account for more than 67,000 deaths a year – around a half of all cancer deaths.
