Disappointed to hear the UK Gov's Justice Sec. does not acknowledge the findings from the Joint Committee's report. It shows that the UK are very strict when it comes to Article 8. We must protect and uphold human rights as well as ensure deportation cases are handled fairly.
At Business Questions I raised yet another constituent case. I called on the Leader of the House to look into my constituent and office's issue with the DWP.

The Scottish Whisky Association and industry is being unfairly treated by this UK Government. It is ludicrous that 75% of the average bottle of whisky will be collected by the Treasury in tax.

Time for the UK Government to step up and back Scotland's renewable energy sector.

Full response regarding the Conclusion of Budget
Scotland is a world leader in tidal stream generation but needs proper funding to sustain and progress. Yet, according to Renewable Energy Auction, the UKG is looking to half the funding instead of increasing it. I called for a meeting with the Chancellor to discuss this.
My constituent, Sandy, has been pursuing a fairer war pension as a result of being wounded whilst serving in Northern Ireland.
